Implementation of the Book of Fasalatan by Kiai Haji Raden Asnawi as a Historical Source in Digital Humanities Studies

Abstract

Digital Humanities Studies is an area of ​​research and teaching studies in the field of digital computing which influences the scope of human life. This study includes efforts to explore materials that have been recorded digitally and new materials that have been digitized. This study is a type of qualitative library research, with a philological approach and using historical research methods which consist of four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The resulting findings are that, the biography of K. H. R. Asnawi whose full name is Muhammad Asnawi al-Qudri was born in Damaran, an area behind the Kudus tower in 1281 H/1864 M, and died in 1959. For history, this book can be used as a historical source, we can find out the background of this book as teaching material regarding prayer, procedures, also regarding various types of prayer and contains the values ​​of worship for young children in 1954. The PDF implementation of the Fasalatan Book as a historical source in the application of Digital Humanities is digital mapping method, where there are ways to record knowledge to be shared with many people online, facilitated by Google or a scanner. By using the Hypertext analysis method which is based on qualitative analysis.
